Mayer’s Bookkeeping began in the summer of 2022 with a simple favor—helping a family friend in the construction industry with a quick, professional website and a backlog of messy books. Though Michelle had minimal bookkeeping experience, she did have several years experience in web design, construction and property management, and a drive to learn something new.

Michelle quickly became certified in QuickBooks Online, cleaned up his books, and build a beautiful website that became a lead magnet for his construction business.

Word spread fast.

That first happy client referred her to others, and soon the demand grew beyond what Michelle could manage alone. She reached out to her Uncle Jerry, an accountant with over 30 years of experience in both corporate and small business finance. Within weeks, Jerry left his stuffy, traditional firm that he despised and joined Mayer’s Bookkeeping full-time.
